1. Wow! Thank you for baring your soul and writing something which must be uncomfortable. Most whites don't want to admit that they're part of a system, and if they realize, they are happy to keep living in it the way that they do.

2. You must get a lot of name-calling hate mail. There is nothing worse to some whites than a "race traitor" among them. You are shunned for reaching out to the other side.

3. It is difficult, as you know, for many whites to get rid of the "zero-sum game" mindset. Rather than look upon one another's gifts, as you do, they fear that any "benefit" to someone different is a loss for them.
