Americans know that the problems that plague us are real. However, since they don't want to inconvenience themselves with learning new patterns and behaviors, they simply deny that they know. Know one wants to be called stupid, lazy, racist, or apathetic, so they just whatever is there ISN'T there and go on. The rest of us are paying for it now (in our dread anticipation) and will pay for it later during the actual collapse.
