Anti-racism "education," not "training," doesn't work because people who benefit from racism are loath to lose those benefits. If it were simple to focus on issues that we had in common, then Joe Manchin's poor West Virginians, and there are an awful lot of them, would be thinking of what they have in common with other poor people. Why don't they? Because as poor as they are, and as much as their political representatives fail to serve them in some ways, they serve them in other ways. "Whiteness" is more salient than democracy, and those who benefit from it are not about to let it go.
Next go-round, we'll talk about your "identitarian" issues.
