As children, none of us was rewarded for doing the right thing. It's what we were expected to do. Democrats who support Cheney are simply not thinking. If she wins her seat, we still get an ultra-conservative. If she loses her seat, then we get even worse. Whatever happened to all of those Democrats who complained that "The lesser of two evils is still evil" when faced with Hillary Clinton? Given two actual evils, are we really going to spend our money, when it could go to Democratic candidates who can flip seats in other places? I'd call it "Penny wise and pound foolish," but there's nothing wise about it.
