As I'm sure you expected, half of your comments are from people of color who understand the need to be free from the judgmental white gaze. The other half, of course, is from people who complain about our encroaching upon "their" space, then get offended when we want to be by ourselves.

These folks believe they are the "Ministers Without Portfolio," who, by their own existence, merit the right to an invitation to every party. They can't believe that other people, even for reasons of their own mental health, deserve to define their own spaces. Let them call it "reverse racism." They know better, but what better way to strike a blow than false outrage?
