Christopher, neither you, nor Dustin, nor I are diplomats. We regular-schmegular folks have NO IDEA of what is going on behind the scenes either to help the Palestinians or to curb Israel's excesses. There are MANY US Jews who abhor what Israel is doing right now, and Israel is gaining itself no sympathy. Rather than believe that the US is funding a huge war machine willy-nilly, consider what machinations are going on to bring this tragedy to an end. Dustin is a knowledgeable and thoughtful writer. He is definitely not naive. What naivete is is not knowing the difference between Biden and "the-one-we-won't name."
