Don't be offended, but we AREN'T teaching CRT. CRT is not a curriculum, but a method of analyzing US laws. When those of us who are advocates of inclusive American History conflate that with CRT, then the Republicans have us exactly where they want us. We are proudly asserting that we are doing what we don't do because the Republicans have informed folks that we are doing something else. (I know that doesn't make sense, and neither does the protest.)

We're not trying to save the Democrats. We are saving OURSELVES, and if that saves the Democrats in the process, then good for them. We're not choosing the "lesser of two evils." We're choosing letting the greater evil prevail by being apathetic. Somebody out there deserves that, but I don't. Getting our butts out and Democratic numbers up is the way to go. Frankly, had we voted in 2016, rather than staying home because "nobody looked like us," we would have spared ourselves the four years of trauma that we got under the Orange Former Guy.
