How many of the folks reading this rather self-absorbed essay are aware that Affirmative Action was never exclusively for black and brown people? Knowing that most of America could not stomach a remedy that didn't include them, Affirmative Action was made to include, specifically, white women.
People on t.v. no longer look exclusively like you and your birth family, and you're feeling left out. Television does not represent reality. It represents clever marketers' recognition of what it takes to sell a product. In real life, you enjoy the privilege you have had for whatever stage of life you occupy. What does George Floyd have teo do with your roster of unhappiness? Are we supposed to intuit that the focus on a black man somehow diminishes you?
Giveth me a break.
