I gotta hand it to you. You're persistent, though incorrect. American chattel slavery was far worse than indenture. If you look up your American History, you will see that three indentured servants in Virginia, two white, one black, were all punished for trying to escape in 1640. The white escapees received lashes. The black escapee received lashes and indenture IN PERPETUITY, not only for himself, but for any offspring. It soon became common practice in Virginia for blacks, even those expected to be released from indenture after their seven-year terms, to serve for the term of life. The same was true of their children, and their children's children.
