I guess you must have missed the entire presidency of Barack Obama, where an exceptional black man was constantly being demeaned by people who thought that their standing as white people (aka, white privilege) entitled them to disgusting displays of public prejudice, which then let loose the dogs of hatred of other whites who may have been less successful than the president but still considered themselves "superior" to him.
