I haven't read your other pieces, David, but you got this one wrong. Your responses all come off as defensive, and your dismissal of the racism that hampered the Obama administration is either naive or shamelessly ignored on your part. You may be "logical," but as you know, Logic, while being the examination of arguments, is not an argument itself. Perhaps people do not require DiAngelo's book to examine the degree of either their racism or their fragility. Radical honesty and unflinching self examination will do the job, if they are willing to do it. Even some very brief attention to the facts of their membership in the "normative" ethnic group will reveal the truth of what DiAngelo writes. Logician, heal thyself.
