I often wonder what incidences in McWhorter's life have caused him to be so thorougly anti black. If nothing else, he should be aware that his writings give "aid and comfort" to racists and think about whether or not he's making the right case to the right people.

I have gotten tired of him making his name by currying admiration from conservative whites and constantly denigrating other blacks. I hope it never happens, but if McWhorter were in a community where he is not known, then no matter what he thinks of himself and his obvious "difference" from other blacks, he may have the experience of finding out othat John McWhorter, despite his name, is just another black face.

If he writes something that he believes is untrue in order to sell books and obtain speaking fees, then there is a name for people like that. If he actually believes it, then there is nothing we can do for him. His blinders are too calcified.
