I suppose you had to know where to look. While I agree that most commercial makeup was not user-friendly to women of color, there was at least one manufacturer, Flori Roberts, that marketed makeup for black women. Flori Roberts, herself, an actual person, died in December 2020. I bought her brand as early as 1970.
