I thought I was well informed, but, clearly, I'm not. I had no idea that slave auctions were a "thing," and I'm amazed that black students (what the heck is wrong with them?) would agree to participate in such an insulting event.

I hope that you've opened everyone's eyes by the words "human trafficking." It should bring an awareness to people who want to make apologies and excuses for slavery. No one condones human trafficking. It gives contemporary folks a new paradigm for considering what "slavery" actually was.
