I was a college student in Boston at the time, so I'm aware of what was happening there. I even know one or two of the principals in J. Anthony Lukas's book. I reject the term "forced integration" because, sadly, examples of "voluntary" integration are few and far between. I just call it "bussing." Yeah, those South Boston whites were one scary lot.
