If Lyndon Johnson was a "conservative," then a "conservative" got both the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act passed. Upon passage of the Civil Rights Act, Johonson is reputed to have said, "I have lost the South for a generation." He was optimistic. The South has been reliably Republican ever since.

Reagan was a stone racist Conservative. He wanted to appeal to a certain sector of whites (the conservative and less-sophisticated Midwest.)

I believe you are overstating that Democrats are the greatest defenders of Republican Fascism. Democrats haven't stormed the Capitol wearing home-made Viking costumes, attempted to kidnap themselves (remember, they were coming for Pelosi) and defecated all over the Capitol. That was the other side. Don't be so general in your condemnation of the Democrats. Please share some concrete examples.
