If my tenant commits some act against you, and you raze my house because of something someone else did, then you have made an enemy. I realize it's hard to use tweezers to pinpoint who did what, but the more you make out-of-proportion retribution, the more you gain adherents to the other side. That's why more and more people are condemning the Israelis right now. That's not what Israel needs, but it may be what it deserves.
