I'm a native of DC, and you can't live there and not be affected by its majesty unless you have no imagination at all. U.S. residents should take any opportunity they can to visit their capitol city and take advantage of its free museums and other cultural destinations. Perhaps it more people visited they might demonstrate some greater understanding of the processes of government and expect it to live up to its promise.
