I'm glad he isn't all "woe is me" for his own sake, but I have a feeling he doesn't consider himself a "dark skin." I'm more privileged than John McWhorter. I have dark skin. I live a life that is superior to most white Americans. However, I have had than enough "woe is me" moments in my lifetime. I'm not letting white people off the hook for them. McWhorter prides himself on being "one of the good ones." He's not "one" at all.
