It was YOUR experience, and you know what you're talking about. Don't let anyone try to tell you that you're either imagining something or that you're "looking for racism." People who haven't experienced this kind of discrimination easily shrug it off and ALWAYS give the benefit of the doubt to the white person.
Sure, there's always a possibility that she was just afraid either to ask you a question or confront you. Of course, it's even more possible that black people are presumed to be less competent and need to get "told on." Heck, I've been "told on" for things that happened when I wasn't even involved! People who have not had this experience can't believe it happens because it lacks logic. Well, racism lacks logic.
