It's good that you are so open to teaching more accurate US history. All of human history contains horrific events, as you say. Even if we know about them, we repeat them anyway.

Use caution in defining CRT. CRT is an entirely different area than American History. It is a practice of examining US laws that is generally employed in law schools and at the graduate level. There is no CRT in any K-12 schools. Republicans know what CRT is, and it is to their advantage to make sure that as many people as possible misinterpret it.
