I've always said that there is no such thing as "passing." If you appear "white," then you're white. That "one-drop" nonsense has messed with a lot of people's heads. I presume that the photo you're presenting is a "black" person who appears "white." If you have not already seen it, then look for the image "The Slave Children of New Orleans." These children are obviously "white," but knowledge of some ancestor of color, who-knows-how-many generations before, makes them "black."
I want us to stop doing this as well. That's a hangover from slave mentality that we need to lose.
