I've learned during the past two weeks that even very concerned and active citizens can't be effective when our elected officials refuse to use the effective "guardrails" that should protect us. However, we can shower the recalcitrant ones with phone calls and emails in order to make their lives miserable, but more important, to prove to them that people are paying attention and expect them to do their jobs.

It seems that Musk and Trump have forgotten that the Federal Government is composed of people from red states and Republican districts in addition to all the scary Blacks, women, and Democrats who they presumed run the government. If you're a red state person and your butt has just been burned, then you'd better get on the phone fast.
