Jeff, perhaps your vision is not as acute as you believe it is.
Jimmy Carter was honest about how Republicans treated Barack Obama. Let me give you an example. As you may know, no issue can be voted on in the House of Representatives unless the majority brings it up for a vote. Republicans were so eager not to consider anything brought up by Democrats (the fear that it might give Barack Obama a "win") that when chunks of the Capitol were falling off into the street below, they refused to bring up a bill for repairs.
I don't recall either having responded to you with insults or having failed to respond to you at all. Your characterizing my desire to inform people as lecturing/whining does not encourage me to take your remarks seriously. You are finding the pattern you WANT to find, whereas I found a pattern because it was, so obviously, there.
I don't talk much about my personal life, unless I'm writing something humorous, on Medium, because it's no one's business. I am black, and happily and proudly so. However, I live much of my personal and community life in the wider, white world, and my white friends and white husband (see, I pulled the race card) agree with my view. Now, do I demand that they see my point of view in order to remain friends (or spouse?) No. They are attuned to more than one point of view, so they "see" situations in more varied ways. Try reading my "Karen and Chuck in Real Time" to see what I mean.
Unfortunately, I doubt that you see racism where it exists, because if you cannot take what I write both seriously and at its word, then you have proven that you fail to see racism.
Shalom and Salaam.
