Learn how Government Works…or Shut Up
This was not supposed to be a “story.” I wrote most of this as a response because I became impatient with someone who said that Kamala Harris did not improve the schools or provide good jobs when she was the Attorney General of California. I also meant it for the folks who said, “Barack Obama didn’t do ‘nuthin for the people.” Most of us don’t know how government works, so we self-righteously bitch, blame, and believe we’re right.
We’re not.
Kamala Harris was Attorney General of California. An attorney general has nothing to do with schools and jobs. That’s not what an Attorney General does. “She was evil! She railroaded Black men!” Would you just do some damn homework and stop repeating what people who don’t know tell you? I wish more people would understand how government works. Attorney General Harris didn’t make your clothes, serve your food, or fix your car. THOSE WEREN’T HER JOBS EITHER. What you don’t know can kill you. You can learn how government works or you can sign yourself into slavery. Knowledge is power.
I am effing sick and tired of people who don’t know how government works complaining. Tell these Black men that a president can’t do it all by themselves. Tell everybody to look up “balance of power” or school themselves on the responsibilies of what an attorney general does.
