The Cats Wrote our Christmas Letter…

Dearest Friends and Loved Ones,
To borrow a term from the late Queen Elizabeth, 2024 was our annus horribilis. We won’t review the world’s many woes; those you already know. Sadly, we had an unusual number of sorrows of our own. In the spring, we lost several close relatives and a dear colleague and friend of more than three decades. In November, some Americans chose knavery over bravery or apathy over action. That was yet another cause to mourn. We didn’t feel our usual holiday cheer and doubted we could manage a letter.
An offer of help came from an unexpected source, and we would be both ungrateful and unworthy if we didn’t accept it. We were thankful, and beyond belief when our three felines told us that if we couldn’t chronicle 2024 ourselves, then they would.
