My point is that we have to examine WHY we have those biases, and WHY, for heaven's sake, in this day and age, we continue to use them. If we continue to use them in representations, then what message are we sending and why do we not attempt to change them? If we cannot be bothered to question what are biased choices in art, then what choices are we making in how we view and treat people in real life? As I said, I'm not making anything up--I'm just pointing out what is already there.
