My, those inclusive yard signs certainly seem to have hit a nerve with you. Whatever did they do wrong?

1. Those gentle signs said all of that? Where did those words go, then?

2. Why do you presume that "kids" are "protesting?" The friends and I who have such signs are in our 50s, 60s, and 70s and are well beyond kid-dom. We're tired of fighting the same battles we fought when we were in our 20s.

3. Since when did belief have only to do with religion? That's not an argument; that's your assertion. It is limiting, limited, and it's untrue.

4. I love it! Another "All lives matter" fan. If all lives mattered, then we wouldn't have to remind the world that black lives matter. The same for women's rights. Oh, yes, where exactly are those places where white people and men are being treated so badly? As has been said on another forum, if you're attending a march to raise funds for Breast Cancer, you don't hold up a sign that says, "Well, what about Lung Cancer?" To highlight one does not entail excluding the rest, unless, of course, you choose to read it that way.

5. That's right. No human is illegal. Human beings can commit illegal acts, and those acts have been committed for centuries. Why, I suppose if you were an indigenous person in the Americas, India, Africa, or Australia, you darn sure didn't appreciate the various flavors of Europeans who decided to squat on your land. Are you really presuming that only present day "immigration" is a problem when colonialist occupation is a major cause of the world's ills?

6. Yes, love and kindness go together, and thinking people know that the phrase "Love is love" goes well beyond your "reductio ad absurdum" reading. I'm sure that some other racists will cheer you, but you, and they, are still racists. Positive and inclusive affirmations divide people? If that is so, then you are doing us a favor. We prefer not to be united with people who think like you.

Please, please ignore this! I don't want you to have to waste your time reading materials that take yours to task. Perhaps you can "refute" it by cutting it, pasting it, and saying something mean about it. Not meaningful. Just mean in every sense of the word. Shalom and Salaam.
