No, Allison. She did not. Chattel slavery ended in 1865. Felton was an honorary Senator, FOR ONE DAY, in 1922. She may have owned slaves in her lifetime, but I doubt that she was a slave owner in 1922. We agree that she was representative of Southern white woman and a vicious racist. There is no doubt of that.

As I presume you are, I’m a nerd who reads widely. It’s the responsibility of us nerds to make sure that we present our information accurately and in context. It’s a disservice to people who don’t know the facts, because they will now, unknowingly, spread something that is untrue. There’s already enough misinformation out there. It’s a disservice to those who already know the facts and context, because our lack of accuracy disrespects their knowledge.
