NO. NO. NO. Migrate to either Georgia or North Carolina, for a start, to cement those as blue states and help us get the electoral votes. Virginia is also a good candidate. The DMV, as you point out, is already generally thought-friendly, so life is good (but expensive) and we can have a real political impact if we make our moves strategically. I love DC, but don't move there! Georgia and North Carolina are calling.
