No. What we are experiencing now is NOT benign neglect. Benign neglect would be leaving us alone and letting what happens happen. What the Republicans are doing now, and have been putting in place for decades, is active opposition. We don't vote Democratic because we're fools, we vote Democratic because the Republicans demonstrate every day that they will shortchange themselves to keep us from gaining anything.

This is not the time to make threats. This is the time to help. We get nothing by splintering our forces.
