Oh, I’ll Play! Nine Random Things you Didn’t Know about me (and Likely Don’t Care)

Thanks to @Misty Rae and @Lynn L. Alexander for giving me this idea.

These two wonderful ladies reminded me that my favorite writing genre is the humorous essay. I usually write about Politics and Race, two subjects which can wring the humor out of a person faster than my mother can twist a washcloth into submission.

@Misty Rae recently wrote something that looks simultaneously like fun and aggression. There is the ego-satisying act of writing about myself and the slight attitude of daring others to read about me when they probably couldn’t care less.

So, nine random facts about me, because nine is my lucky number.

  1. I borrowed from Ms @Misty Rae how I prefer my eggs.

Scrambled softly. Most scrambled eggs proferred to me by others, both loved ones and commercial eateries, are too hard.

If you want to enjoy some little clouds of pudding-y heaven, then you should let me scramble some eggs for you. I have made an Art and a Science of elevating this breakfast staple into a five-star experience. I can do so with no more than eggs, butter, salt and pepper (and a couple of never-to-be revealed secret ingredients.) I can also dress them up with the usual mix ins — cheeses, herbs, exotic…
