Oh no he doesn't. The media have not paraded the Smith's lives, THEY have used their celebrity as commodities to put themselves in the public way; both the adults and the kids. When Will and Jada not only put everything "out there" but also get paid to do it, then they have already determined that their "right to privacy" has been breached, but not by other people.

Comedians have been making personal jokes about one another for decades, and few people have responded with physical violence, as far as I know. If Chris Rock knew about Jada's issue (I didn't) then his joke was mean-spirited. However, and you call this "respectability politics" if you want, Smith contributed to the trope of the angry black man who can't control himself. For people who excuse him, then do they also excuses fists, knives, and guns? I'm angry at Smith for that. I'm also angry because if you "roll the tape," then you'll see that he also LAUGHED AT THE JOKE.
