Oh, no sir. The LAST thing I am is the voice of black conservatism. I am, in fact, an ultra-liberal communitarian who believes that conservatism is what holds black people back. We are often reluctant to leave old, comfortable, practiced ways in favor of newer, more promising ones that are to our benefit. Talking frequently to your children in a loving way is the opposite of conservatism. If you are reading me as "conservative," then perhaps you are more "liberal" than you think.
