One can come from both. I am definitely a member of an oppressed group. I am also a person with more privileges than most Americans. I hope that I do not use my privilege to oppress others, but if no privileged person can escape being an aggressor, then how is anyone's life going to matter? Even the oppressed oppress others.

This isn't a discussion formulated to trip you in any way. I'm asking if it's possible to be an amalgam of many things but still worthy of having one's life matter. And, what if I'm not "worthy?" Who gets to decide my worthiness or whether or not my life matters?
