One of my REALLY big beefs with black people and traditional religion is that religion makes us more passive than active. We need to stop "hoping" and start doing. When faced with touch choices, we let "God decide." God is busy. When we feel we can't handle something, we want "Jesus to take the wheel." We know how to drive. I get irrational spending because it makes you feel good. I don't get irrational passivity; it keeps you a victim.
