Our fragility is on display daily. Black fragility is the sentence under which we live that causes us to be poorer, less well-educated, sicker with poorly delivered health care, living in areas with higher levels of pollutants and less green space, ineligible for many public benefits programs by the deliberate choice of white lawmakers, discriminated against economically, in such areas as wages and benefits and assessments in the value of our homes, despite their being in "good" (read that white) neighborhoods, subject to harsher punishments at the hands of the justice system, subject to stupid prejudices about our abilities, and ...okay, that's eight. It's not an entire essay, but it's an answer to your disingenuous "question."

The examples of white fragility are supplied by a black person who has probably had the experiences he describes. I believe it's easier for someone of another ethnicity to describe the fragilities of the target race. Given that requirement, perhaps YOU will write the companion piece. As a self-described "social critic," I'm sure you possess the ability to do so. We'll be waiting.
