Perhaps I'm the exception, but I support Biden spending billions to support the Ukrainians fighting off the Russians. Biden, the Congress, and other European nations are aware that this invasion is a lot deeper than the Ukraine. All Americans need to see the larger picture.

Now, about that majority. Yes, blacks live in a concentration of states, but we need to concentrate our numbers in places where they will make a difference. For example, when folks are looking to return to the South, they might think of Georgia, where our majority is large enough to have shifted the Senate. North Carolina is another state ripe for the taking. Enough of us there may not be able to change Congress, but we could turn the Senate. Remember, U.S. Senators do not have districts; they run statewide. Enough of a voting majority in North Carolina could turn those two Republican seats into Democratic seats. Florida, Mississippi, and South Carolina are lost causes, but we could easily flip the Senate.

Like considering the big picture for Ukraine, we must all consider the big picture for ourselves. New York lost a Congressional seat because it needed 1,000 more people to be counted in the U.S. Census. A lot of black folks are afraid of "big government" and the Census, but if we don't count ourselves in, then we count ourselves out. I'm going to bet that there are a total of 1,000 blacks and more who didn't bother to count themselves in in both major and minor cities. That difference could be a congressional district, which means an electoral vote.

We also need to take voting seriously. The crazy Lauren Boebert kept her Congressional seat by 546 votes. I know there were 546 Democrats, some of them black, who regret staying home. If our numbers are big enough, we can prevail. We just need to target our numbers. Tell all your friends.
