Point one. Yes, Republicans are now employing the "white adjacency" strategy as vehemently as they employed the "racial strategy" in the past. I want all "non-white" groups to ponder what you have said so clearly; that their political success depends upon their continuing to hold "whiteness" as some paradigm which all fortunate people should recognize and seize.

Point two. I sometimes have made my Spanish-speaking pals angry by pointing out to them that Spanish is not their original language. It is the language which they know, and by which they are known, but it is the language of the conqueror who annihilated their own languages centuries ago.
