"Race" issues will almost always prevail over economic ones. The Progressive Democrats and Democratic Socialists talk about economics and class all the time. The reason it gets no foothold is because most white people would rather be white and poor than black and ANYTHING, including black and rich. If it were about economics, then we would have had class solidarity a long time ago.
