Herschel’s getting played , and he’s taking you with him. Don’t vote for him, and please, please don’t stay home.
Full disclosure. I’m a die-hard Democrat. I’m a super voter who has hardly missed voting in an election, primary, general, or off-year, in more than 45 years. Politics were a childhood interest. (Seriously.) My nighttime dreams are about the Future of Democracy. I have written checks, held signs, knocked on doors, and made calls. I’m not an insider, but I’m well-informed. I’m taking that privilege now to do a little “speechifying.”
