Same in my home, Jamie. In fact, I was a dawdler who never wanted to go to bed. A surefire way for me to be able to stay up later was to ask a question right before bedtime because I knew that meant a session with the encyclopedia! In fact, as a child nerd, I had the scheme of wanting to record myself reading the encyclopedia, then playing it back to myself while I slept so that I would "acquire" it. (No, I didn't get to do it.) To grow up marinated in words is a privileged thing, but it doesn't take wealth. One just has to want to do it.
