She looks like a prisoner of war. If there is no one in "society at large" who can intervene, perhaps there are people closer to her, like family members, who can check on her out of concern. What I can't understand is why she continues to allow herself to be used/bullied in that way. Are we making "assumptions" about her choices? No. We are reading the obvious cries for help on her face.
