So, "Youngblood," we old, black people don't know anything about the state of black culture and how it has been affected by the dominant white paradigm? Puh-leeze. We have been around a lot longer than you and know more about both the joys and the frailties than you, at least until you have lived a lot longer.

If I were a tool of white supremacy, then I'd just let people be where they are, limiting themselves and their children when a remedy is so darn easy and doesn't cost anything. If black culture says, "shut your children up and don't enrich your relationship with love and positive words," then I need to jettison that particular aspect of that culture for the sake of my children. Wow. Speaking more and more respectfully with one's children. Yep. That's a white supremacist tool for sure.

If you'd like to point out what I said specifically (or perhaps you can refute what is a vast area of research) then please do so. If you want to contribute an essay on how systemic racism has injured our community both now and in the past, I'm not stopping you. You go right ahead. Shalom and Salaam.
