Thanks for writing that, Alan. I am interracially married, and although I live in the liberal Northeast, my husband and I have certainly come across people who have treated us differently, and he has been mysteriously "dropped" from communications with some of his family members (fortunately, none of them his immediate family) and we're pretty sure the reason for that is me.
