That's how it goes. There generally isn't some specific circumstance where white reporters comment on the supposed superiority of European culture. They wouldn't do that if they were in Asia or Africa, because the racism of their remarks would be so obvious and unreasonable.

However, despite the whiteness of the first two World Wars, white on white violence is often seen as unimaginable, because, after all, they are the ones who are "civilized" and aren't supposed to engage in such behavior. Maybe that's why January 6th was "reasonable political discussion."
