The author asked the reader, in Part I, to look only at the verbs, then imagine what kind of person might be paired with each. The author asked each person to draw their own conclusions, not necessarily to agree with her. HOWEVER, if the three black representations ALL show physical activities and NO intellectual activities, then there's a problem. Why do you presume that I am playing racism "gotcha?" I'm definitely not playing anything at all. I'm asking people to make their own judgments. As I said in Part I, I'm just pointing something out, and in this case I pointed out obvious stereotypes.
I agree that the "game" is biased, but I'm talking about the serious game of African-American life in these United States, and the game is very much biased towarad positive representations and beliefs about the superiority of white people. We have no choice. We don't get to opt out of that "game."
