The Briefest Essay you will ever Read About Democratic Messaging
The Democratic Party, it seems, has lost its way in “messaging.” It has “lost” the working class, Black men, Latinx men, and the “Blue Wall” states appear to be turning more purple.
What, exactly, is this message that has the Democrats bleeding existing voters and in fear of becoming a permanent minority party?
“…with liberty and justice for all.”
That’s it. That’s the message.
Over the last few decades, liberty and justice for all has become an odious and alienating concept. The more one party attempts to include “all,” the more people who are already in the “all” want that “all” to recite the childhood playground chant,
“Criss cross, double cross. Nobody else can play with us.”
The station and conditions we enter at birth are one roll of a die with near-infinite sides. Wherever that die lands, the side should already be included, without conditions, in our “all.”
