The "condescending liberals" fought for the better part of a year to make the economy more friendly to hard-working people, to supplement their unemployment, and to pass a bill which gave long-term solutions to economic problems. They were stymied by Republicans, who appeared to stay up at night figuring out how to take benefits from people during a time of national pandemic.

I know it's often fashionable to "blame the libs," but the libs have been trying to help. What we need are greater numbers of them in Congress and fewer people blaming them for situations which they try to address.
