The Four Seasons has a lobby shop, and she had enough money. Why didn't she just buy a phone charger? Was she presuming that South Asians are stereotypically rich and that she was being snubbed by members of her "club," or was she complaining about something else? It would seem that, being in on "the code," she would know whom to ask. (No, I didn't miss the point of the article; I'm just piling on this lady.)
